SPECIAL WORK PERMIT - CHANGED PROCESS
Based on Operations Order No. JHM-2019-008, the Bureau of Immigration restricts Special Work Permits (SWP) to Foreigners in 14 Occupations.
The order forms part of is the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Joint Guidelines No. 01 signed by the Bureau of Immigration (BI),Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE), Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in May 2019.
The Joint Guidelines cover the issuance of all Work permits given to Aliens, which includes SWPs, PWPs, and Alien Employment Permits (AEP)
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) does not issue SWP's or PWP's to Foreign Nationals seeking to work in "Blue-Collar Jobs" such as Construction Work, Janitorial Services, and other Jobs that do not entail special work skills.
Additional Foreign Nationals needed Tax Identification Number (TIN) and Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card (ACR)
Also requested from the Petitioner a certified to be a true copy of Mayor Business Permit.
The FAC Team process the New SPECIAL WORK PERMIT (SWP) with immediate effect.
